Meet Our Research Team
Clint E. Johnson,
Primary Investigator,
Assistant Professor of Psychology

Hi Folx! I'm Clint Johnson. I am a passionate Assistant Professor of Psychology, as well as the Primary Investigator of GLITTER. A little about me. I completed my Bachelor of Science in Psychology at Armstrong State University in 2017, my Master of Science in Psychology at Georgia Southern University in 2019, and my Doctorate in Experimental Psychology with Developmental Concentration in 2024. My research area lies in gender and sexuality development in childhood and adolescence with a focus on LGBTQIA2+ individuals. When I am not on the job, I enjoy spending time with my husband and our child.
Claire Williams, Undergraduate Research Assistant

Hi. My name is Claire Williams and I’m an undergrad student at Webster University! I am super excited to be working in the lab. My focus in psychology is around minority issues (race, gender, sexuality, etc.) and usually is somewhere within the sports world. As a collegiate athlete, I see issues that happen and where there is room for change. I like to challenge what we define as “normal” and make a safe space for all. I plan to go to graduate school to pursue a higher degree in psychology!
Jerrid Rolfe
Undergraduate Research Assistant,
Former Lab Manager

Sage Hamilton,
Undergraduate Research Assistant

Salutations! I'm Jerrid Rolfe, the former Lab Manager and Webster University alumni, I completed my Bachelor of Arts in Psychology with an emphasis in mental health Spring 2024. After taking a gap year in the field of psychology, I plan to enter graduate school for counseling psychology. My research interests are in adolescents and emerging adults, especially gender-diverse individuals. Outside of academics, I love spending time with my two cats, my family, and playing table top RPGs. I'm thrilled to have the opportunity to be presenting the findings of our first experimental study at the 2024 APA conference in Seattle, Wa.
I'm Sage, I'm an undergraduate at Webster University, and I'm super excited to begin research in the GLITTER lab! I'm a psychology major, a minor in LGBTQ+ studies, and I plan to further my knowledge in these subjects in graduate school. I'm interested in studying neurodiversity in the queer community. I love learning new things, getting out of my comfort zone, and connecting with others, and there's no better place to do so than in the GLITTER lab :)
Miranda Kutell
Graduate Research Assistant

Hello, my name is Miranda Kutell and I'm an undergraduate student at Webster University. I am currently finishing my last semester as a Psychological Science major, and next semester I will begin going to SLU in the Experimental Psychology PhD program. There, I will also be working in the Gender Cognitions and Development lab with Dr. Kimberly Powlishta. My main area of research is studying gender perceptions in different facets of life, looking at both childhood and adulthood. By learning where these perceptions stem from, my hope is to combat stereotypes and stigma that may arise from them to show that we are more similar to each other than different. I love the GLITTER lab as it allows me to do research outside of class, as well as collaborate with my lab partners and brainstorm new ideas.
Bella Lyskowski
Undergraduate Research Assistant

Hi, my name is Bella Lyskowski! I joined the research team Fall 2024. I am a psychology major with an LGBTQ+ studies minor. I’m super excited to begin researching queer psychology with the GLITTER lab. Outside of psychology, I love spending time with my partner and family, going on walks, and painting my nails. I can’t wait to integrate my personal interests into my research in the lab!
Sophie Price,
Lab Manager,
Undergraduate Research Assistant

Nick Klotz,
Undergraduate Research Assistant

Hi everyone, my name is Sophie Price and I am an undergraduate student at Webster University and currently GLITTER lab manager. I am double majoring in criminology and psychology with a minor in LGBTQ+ studies. My goal is to take the experiences I have had the fortunate of having in the GLITTER lab and put them towards pursuing a master's in social work. In the GLITTER lab I have an interest in studying substance use disparities among gender and sexual minorities, specifically in adolescence. My goal for my research is that findings will benefit the community by educating others on the unique experiences and characteristics of LGBTQIA individuals so that we can provide better support. I am grateful to be included in this incredible research team so that I can research my interest fields and help a community that has been overlooked in research for too long.
Hi! My name is Nick, and I am currently an undergraduate pre-medical student. I'm pursuing a major in biological sciences and a minor in LGBTQ+ studies. An issue I'm particularly passionate about is the treatment of the LGBTQ+ community in the medical field, and my goal is to contribute to research examining how we can make medicine more inclusive for those individuals. I would like to continue similar research throughout medical school and beyond, using that knowledge to become a more understanding and affirming provider. I'm incredibly excited to begin this research journey in the GLITTER lab!
